One wonders how to maintain a CV up to date and up to shape. Depending on what type of job application one has in mind, selected parts of a CV can be used to "export" a ready-to-use CV, while others sections may be better left out on one particular occasion. Put differently, a CV is more like a database of information that is selectively picked at will.
LaTeX could do this by \include{} commands. Is Manuscripts going to help in this direction?

@mz2 Would you give us some anticipations, please? I am more than pleased to support the project through the purchase of an individual license (at a bargain price, so be it) but one does wonder whether this is really going to be a good investment for the future. There have been numerous attempts to provide multi-author functionalities: Google Documents, Microsoft OneDrive (or MS SharePoint), LaTeX collaborative editing online. The hardest task, from my limited user perspective, is to convince your co-authors that the "new" system that you are proposing is going to do them good. Most of my "senior" author do not want to get out of the beaten track of MS Word.
