OK so if I understand this correctly, I can copy and paste from Mathtype. It looks like I can't do that for inline equations though.

Wow! That is just wonderful. I'm going to tell all my friends.

@mz2 Yes. Basically, I have used Mathtype with Word for 20 years but it looks like the days of support by Microsoft are ending. While I can use Manuscripts with a separate program to convert Mathtype of latex (indeed, Mathtype can do it) it would be far more convenient if it were integrated.
The real barrier to teX getting more people is ease of use. I know that many have learned and become comfortable with coding their documents but I like to see what I am going to get. Indeed, I manipulate equations in Mathtype so it is more than just convenient formatting.
This is something I'd like to see. I am not sure how that would be to all your customers. Just figured I'd express my preference here.

Yes. Works. All good. Thanks for sorting it out.
Now if you could just include an equation editor ....

Actually I checked again and now it does not run on the other device. I guess it was 10.11.2 and maybe it was updated after I first checked.

@mz2 I uninstalled Manuscripts completely and did a reinstall of MaxTeX. No change after reinstalling 1.0.29

Just to let you know that it isn't just me but likely the computer or some subtle issue. I just downloaded Manuscripts and MacTex on another machine and it all worked fine. This is a puzzle.
