Formatting equations

Hi there,

I would like to format my equations. I'm using double \ to create a line break to make the equations visually more pleasing, but then they are right bound and there is a big white gap on the left. Does anyone know how to make it left bound?

@gustaf there's a few methods provided in the amsmath package for this: https://www.sharelatex.com/learn/Aligning_equations_with_amsmath – I'm afraid I don't remember 100% if MathJaX (which we use for typesetting math) implements any or all of these amsmath extensions (I know we do support many other AMS math features through it).
