Hi, equations are not working for me, inline or standalone, I get this yellow triangle at the top right, and nothing gets rendered.

Equations not working at version 1.0.20 I get the yellow triangle
-
@clausqr could you send us a document where this happens for you, please?

Sure np:

also as a hint, the tooltip coming from the yellow exclamation mark triangle reads: "Typesetting equations & inline math took longer than 10.000000 seconds"
-
Dear all,
I do have exactly the same problem (is it linked to latex installation??)
-
Also not working here, version 1.0.22. Open new document, insert equation or inline equation, nothing happens except yellow triangle.
The app spams Console quite a lot, here is the probably relevant error message:

update: still the same with 1.0.22
And looking at the spam dumped to console I see that all of sudden my notebook is running a web server???
$ curl http://127.0.0.1:10122

@tlasser I believe we have addressed this for the upcoming 1.0.23 update – thanks for the log entries, this helped us a lot in understanding the problem.

Do you have an estimate of when 1.0.23 will roll out?
-
@clausqr either tonight tomorrow night.

The new release solve the problem for me; thanks!
-
even if the yelow triangle remains.
-
and if I have to relauch the app every time that equations stopped to work (ie every 2-3 equations).
-
Hi,
The new version didn't fix the problem with equations. I still have the yellow triangle and once it appears the only solution is to restart the program.
I have also observed that if I start an equation with a normal letter I can be successful. But, if I start the equation (inline or the general one) with a LaTeX reserved word, the probability of error (yellow triangle) is very high.
For example, try to start your equation with "\Delta \sigma... " or "\sin x = ..."

@dcalarcon, @yann.charles we have a further improvement on this in the works – the issue is to do with syntax error handling and not really recovering from it in a robust enough way yet. 1.0.24 improves this.

Hey matt! I finally got it working with 1.0.24, it made me go ahead and shell out my $!!!
-
@clausqr great stuff! We are still improving this in the release tonight some more (improving the error handling).

It's seems ok with the new version; I have to underline that it's very pleasant to be able to convers directly with the dvp team. Thanks for you effisciency!
