How do I enlarge or reduce the font size
-
@haphap you can change the font family and size with the paragraph style inspector available on the right hand side of the main window by clicking the Toggle Inspector button available in the lower right corner of the application window:
This reveals the inspector which includes two tabs, second of which is the style inspector which includes for instance Paragraph Styles that let you choose font sizes, etc.
Editing caption style separate is not yet available, beyond choosing the placement of the caption (either above or below the figure).

I have made the first part of this question available as a separate Knowledge Base entry at this URL: How do I change the Font Family and Size

@mz2 Thank you for your prompt response, 2 of 3 problems have been settled!! Hope we can customize caption labels in the future.

But this is to edit the whole document the same way What about if I want a different style in different sections? "How do I assign a style to a particular section without changing others? p.e. If I want to use a font size in one section and then another font size in another section? I tried to duplicate a style and renaming it (ex: Body Text(Bibliography)) and editing on the toggle inspection area, but it basically changes the whole text in other sections that are assigned the "Body Text" style. This also applies for alignment (ex: body text justified and bibliography on the left). Thanks!"

This is indeed not possible yet. Purely philosophically we don't actually really want you to apply different font sizes to different sections really because in the end it's counter productive. What we are doing is adding more semantically defined paragraph types that can have different font stylings, and a paragraph styles can be then connected to one of the paragraph types (for instance a block quote). How does this sound? We basically want to guard the consistency of your document and have you focus on the substance whilst we maintain the consistency of it. I realise it may not be yet very obvious given we have made the duplicate option but not made use of it in the way described above.

@mz2 Adding a formatting style for quotes or bibliography or figure legends would then be great! I don't like to write the text block aligned to the left, I like to see it justified, but when it comes to bibliography, for example, I hate to see so much uneven spacing when justified and prefer to have it on the left, as happens for other kinds of "lists". Thanks for replying and keep up the great work! This could be a life saver for writing and formatting my thesis! My main issue up to now is that my supervisor is not keen on making corrections on printouts or pdfs but rather revise on word... this app with import/export options would at least give me a chance to work with a better interface program for such a large document while being able to go back and forth with him with subsections exported to word....

@Enish block quotes as a paragraph style are for sure coming. I've noted down a request to add styles for figure captions as well (we were already aware of the need for some specific numbering formats but also more broadly being able to choose a sans serif / serif font in contrast to other body text for instance is often necessary). We will do our best.
